Coffee, yoga, eat, sleep, repeat
We invite you to join us at Nereus either as a participant on one of our yoga teacher trainings or spiritual retreats or on a personal retreat of your own design, where the itinerary is entirely up to you. Either way, three nourishing, health-supportive meals are provided daily, and you can look forward to an array of contemporary home comforts combined with a genuine immersion in nature.
Our accommodation options are as flexible as you’ll be after your daily yoga practice, comprising a clutch of single and two-storey villas arranged around the central swimming pool and extending along verdant paths between the trees, sleeping between one and three.
All rooms feature powerful ceiling fans and A/C, plenty of storage space, WiFi, USB charging for devices, and big, comfortable beds. In the airy bathrooms, you’ll find a selection of full-size organic Biosfera products, sustainably made in Costa Rica using rainwater. If you’re lucky, you might even spot squirrel monkeys performing acrobatics through the window while washing your hair. Fancy taking your coffee to the beach to watch the sunrise? It’s less than a 60-second walk away, through a designated nature reserve alive with the sound of birdsong and of the waves lapping against the shore of the Golfo Dulce.

Ayurveda & Nutrition
Our kitchen is stocked with local, seasonal produce, making the most of what nature brings us, and our vibrant, regularly changing menus are ingredients-driven. In overseeing the food and nutrition offering at Nereus, Jen’s extensive training in Ayurveda and functional medicine nutrition (not to mention her experience as a restaurateur) allows her to seamlessly blend ancient wisdom with modern-day application, creating plates that look beautiful, taste delicious and come with health-optimizing benefits. Three delicious and nutritious meals are included in your stay!

Daily Yoga Classes
Bathed in the emerald light that floods through the surrounding leaf canopy, our spacious, purpose-built yoga shala is a touchstone of days spent at Nereus. Under the cooling breeze of 12 powerful ceiling fans, on a sustainable bamboo-wood floor, using premium-quality, in-country-sourced cork mats and blocks and comfortable bolsters dressed in sage-green cotton covers, our yoga lead, Michelle Garcia, and visiting teachers predominantly focus on hatha, vinyasa and yin styles, in inclusive classes that allow students to work at their own pace and level.

Spa Treatments
A calming space amid the trees, with the soul-soothing sound of waves providing an ever-changing playlist, the Nereus Spa offers a menu of massage treatments designed to complement the nourishing meals, yoga practice and wildlife encounters that form the touchstones of days here in the rainforest. Your certified therapist will welcome you with a tropical fruit-based drink and fragrant foot soak: all you have to do is choose whether you’d prefer lemongrass- or Costa Rican floral-scented oil in the diffuser, lie down, and relax.
